Bowen Island Day Trip
This trip definitely requires a boat. If you don't have one a ferry will do. Make a day of a trip to beautiful Bowen Island or stay over and really get the feel of it.

Have yourself a relaxing day and explore Bowen Island. You can catch a local bus that takes the scenic route along Marine Drive from Vancouver (Georgia and Granville) to Horseshoe Bay - where you can catch a ferry to Bowen Island. No car required. It is an enjoyable 20 minute ride that lands you in Snug Cove at the Union Steamship Marina. You are steps to Doc's Restaurant where you can enjoy the view and have a casual bite to eat. There are just a few other restaurants around as well as a tiny bit of shopping so expect to take it down a notch and relax. You can extend your stay at one of the cottages for rent at the marina or venture further out to find many other welcoming accommodations on the island. Plenty of things to do if you venture beyond patio life and hikes for all levels. Nice way to spend a day or even two.....
